Offer a student Workplace Experience or Co-operative Education
A significant proportion of AUT programmes include a learning approach that integrates academic study with practical workplace experience in industry, business, government or the public service. This workplace experience means that students spend a portion of time, from a few hours a week to a full semester, in a workplace environment outside of the university.
We are keen to invite employers to offer workplace experience or co-operative education to AUT students. Some of the advantages for employers hosting students are -
- Assistance with a particular project that require specific skills and abilities
- Ability to release an existing employer for other duties or a special project
- An extra pair of hands to help with specific activities over peak periods
- Opportunity to observe, identify and develop future employees for the organisation
